75 KAWASAKI Z1 900 Restoration by Johnny's Vintage Motorcycle Company
1975 Kawasaki Z1 900 that I took in on trade for a 1976 Kawasaki KZ900 about twelve years ago. This movie takes us through many of the steps to properly restore a vintage Japanese motorcycle, reviving a project bike into a beautiful everyday rider.
1973 Kawasaki Z1 900 "Find of the Century"
This is an early 1973 Kawasaki Z1900 with a very low serial number. The bike came from the original owner’s widow. We believe it sat out on a carport for some time and we were on the fence about doing a full restoration versus keeping it as a nice unrestored rider. We got the bike running great and started hanging lots of good used genuine parts on it, which seemed to blend well and I believe the bike will probably stay like this for some time to come as a nice every day rider. We believe that these authentic un-restored stock vintage bikes are the thing of the future
1974 Kawasaki Z1 900 Restoration Project Green
We are restoring this early 1974 Z1 900. Many of the early parts on this model are the same as the 1973. We'll take you through some of the details. We are calling this "Project Green" because of the original body paint, but we are considering changing it out for a nice set of brown body parts.
Kawasaki Z1 900 - KZ900 Comparison
John Bova, owner of Johnny's Vintage Motorcycle Company takes us through the differences between the 1975 Kawasaki Z1 900 and the 1976 Kawasaki KZ900.
