2016 Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin Review

With a coelacanthean return many years in the making, the hard-charging, adventure-seeking, Honda Africa Twin is finally back on the scene! Designed with a two-word directive to “go anywhere,” the buzz around the new 2016 Africa Twin has certainly been well-earned. Between the Africa Twin’s pedigree of excellence in some of the most challenging races in the world, to the renewed vigor with which the Honda team came out swinging in the latest iteration, it’s easy to understand the palpable excitement surrounding the Africa Twin and its quest to re-assert itself amongst the upper echelon of adventurers. Honda Africa Twin vs BMW R1200GS Adventure review
Watch us pit the Honda Africa Twin against the BMW R1200GS Adventure on and off the road. Things weren't entirely plain-sailing when we ventured off-road on the 263kg GS - but we did bump into a famous face.



Seattle to Alaska / Honda Africa Twin / MotoGeo Adventures MotoGeo heads to Seattle to ride the new Honda Africa Twin prepared by Touratech, and then Jamie heads north into Canada and then onto Alaska.

We spent a fantastic couple of days in sunny Wales with the guys from the Dave Thorpe Honda Off-Road Centre. It gave us the chance to get the Africa Twin in some mud.
